The purpose of this program is to address the growing concerns associated with at- risk youth, juvenile crime and violence. It offers steps to solutions by providing tools and skills for children and parents.

The Diocesan Juvenile Justice Program Includes:

• Teaching children about values, integrity, self-esteem, respect for themselves and others with a better understanding of living by "The Golden Rule."
  
• Teaching children how to overcome tough temptations by setting to memory "The Ethical Decision Making Process.".
  
• Mentoring to effect positive change.
  
• Providing educationand support for parents with the New Hope" program -- Helping Other Parents Experience Support.
  
• Providing scripture study and Gospel values ofr spiritual growth.

The Juvenile Justice Program provides trained volunteers from our parishes across the nine counties that make up the Diocese. The Criminal Justice Office provides an 8 hour block of training and continuing educational updates for the certification of all volunteers.
